2Rite™ Corporation has been involved in a broad range of consulting and product development projects. Our work is focused primarily in three areas:
  1. High speed signal transmission and signal integrity analysis and design. Precision instrumentation and test using mixed-mode VNA and TDR techniques. Interconnect design analysis using 2D, 3D quasistatic and fullwave CAD tools.

  2. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) consulting specializing in radiated emissions design reviews and troubleshooting at the IC package, PCB assembly, and system packaging levels.

  3. Analog circuits and systems specializing in: 1) low-noise, low-power instrumentation electronics and optimization of A to D converter designs 2) wide bandwidth amplifiers and switching circuits (digital signal drivers).


Recent projects have included:
  • Radiated emissions consulting for a number of computer peripheral products and medical instrumentation

  • Consulting on mixed-mode VNA testing including hands-on training for IC development and computer peripheral development companies

  • Recording head interconnect design for magnetic recording disk drive applications (to 2 Gb/sec)

  • Detailed PCB layout design reviews for signal integrity and radiated emissions performance for a number of computer peripheral products

  • Electrical noise troubleshooting and optimization of A to D converter designs for industrial instrumentation and computer peripherals

  • Hardware interface and electrical interconnect design for 10 Gb/sec optical links

  • Telephone copper plant modeling for xDSL and proprietary high-speed communication links; analog front-end design (to 15 MHz)

  • Microwave current sensors and balun development

  • Electronics development for product that provided remote sensing of current and voltage on power transmission lines (up to 35 kV) via RF link

  • DC-coupled RF AGC amplifier (300 MHz BW)

  • High speed (35psec risetime) pulse driver for TDR application

  • Portable environmental monitor system for research application

  • High efficiency power supplies for compact florescent lights

  • Low-noise, wideband amplifier for an ultrasonic transducer



Development experience includes both high volume products (for example, computer disk drive products shipping >20,000 units per day) to precision instrumentation used in world-renowned research and development laboratories.

A broad range of CAD tools are used to facilitate quality designs. CAD tools are used in the following typical electronics development applications:
  • Schematic capture

  • Circuit simulation

  • Electromagnetic analysis

  • System modeling

  • PCB and hybrid IC layout

A number of tools have been used for each of the above applications. The customer frequently dictates tool use as this permits easy collaboration and provides the most efficient transfer of finished designs. We have experience with the following CAD tools:

  • Ansoft HFSS and SI 2D and 3D
